Nooks Awarded Direct-to-Phase-2 SBIR DARPA Prospero Contract to Develop Game-Changing Secure Facility Design Tool
Nooks, a trailblazer in revolutionizing classified infrastructure services including classified facilities for shared industry and government use, has been awarded the DARPA Prospero contract, a Direct-to-Phase-2 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) effort. Prospero challenges industry to develop a groundbreaking tool to streamline and enhance the processes for Secure Area/SCIF/SAPF design and construction approval. Nooks’ Prospero solution is ARIEL (Automated Requirements Interpretation and Evaluation for the secure facility Lifecycle), an innovative, automated tool that incorporates Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Large Language Models to interface with secure facility customers.
“We are beyond excited to partner with DARPA to accelerate access to classified infrastructure. These types of efforts and contracts are critical to enable our nation to compete and win in the Great Power Competition” said Sean Blackman, CEO of Nooks
The existing procedures and business practices governing secure facility design and approval are plagued by labor-intensive processes, complexity, time constraints, and a lack of standardization across government agencies. ARIEL aims to remedy these challenges by integrating advanced technologies into the process to:
- Streamline workflows: ARIEL will automate many of the manual tasks currently involved in the design and approval process, saving time and resources.
- Enhance security: ARIEL will integrate best practices and security considerations into the design process from the outset, leading to more secure facilities.
- Expedite collaboration: ARIEL will facilitate collaboration between stakeholders, ensuring everyone is on the same page to eliminate unnecessary delays.
“Nooks is combining our team’s decades of industrial security experience with AI to usher forth a technological advantage in designing and accrediting classified facilities” said Jason Martin, Nooks Director of Operations & Security
Nooks is committed to developing innovative solutions that satisfy the evolving needs of the secure facility landscape. Prospero underscores Nooks’ position as an innovation thought leader and commitment to deliver excellence in the field of secure facility solutions.
